Disaster resources for educators

Hosted on the Be You website, these courses provide educators with a foundational understanding of their role in the recovery process following a natural disaster or community trauma. The courses each focus on a different education stage - early learning, primary school and high school.

This practice guide is a series of resources on child-centred and family-focused approaches in disaster preparedness, response and recovery. It has been created for anyone who is (or may in the future be) supporting infants, children, parents and/or families who experience a disaster, including educators.

The Community Trauma Toolkit features a range of resources designed for teachers and child care professionals working with children and families in areas affected by natural disaster or community trauma. It includes short articles, podcast episodes, fact sheets and more.
