21–29 October 2023 was Children’s Week, a national celebration of children’s rights, talents and citizenship. This year’s theme was ‘Children have the right to relax, play and to join in a wide range of leisure activities’.
Children’s Week is a wonderful opportunity to promote the rights of children and young people, and to celebrate their capacity to actively contribute to the world around them. Make sure to check out our resources about the importance of child-led play through a practice guide, our short article about physical activity and child mental health, and our Engaging children pathway of online courses which offers practice skills for working with children and enabling them to participate in the therapeutic process.
