Working with families where substance use is part of their lived experience can be complex and multifaceted, often intersecting with other health and wellbeing needs. This webinar with the Mental Health Professionals Network (MHPN) will help you strengthen your skills in child-aware practice, supporting conversations that keep children’s wellbeing central while recognising the strengths, motivations, and protective capacity of families.

Led by Nicole Rollbusch (Practice Development Officer, Emerging Minds), the expert panel includes:

  • Fiona (child and family partner)
  • Dr Suzie Hudson (Mental Health Social Worker and Clinical Advisor at the Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs)
  • Alicia Phillips (family counsellor – alcohol and other drugs).

Watch as they explore practical strategies to reduce stigma, build trust, and hold child-aware conversations that put children’s wellbeing at the centre.
