Identifying developmental concerns in school-aged children

Emerging Minds and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), Australia, June 2021

A child’s mental health is intimately tied to their development and their developmental needs, and therefore it is important for GPs to understand a child’s developmental journey so that they can respond to children in ways that are appropriate to their age.

This webinar with the RACGP explores how ‘typical development’ is defined in children aged 5-12, the relationship between mental health difficulties and developmental difficulties in school-aged children, and the skills required to identify developmental concerns. Facilitated by Dr James Best, panellists include Dr Andrew Leech, Felicity Kime, Susan Pagel and Dr Stephen Stathis.
